A coin found on a dig on the Shetland coast carries the face of an English king history remembers as "the Unready".

It was minted between 991 and 997 A.D. under Ethelred, best known for failing to fend off the Vikings. Archaeologist Elinor Graham says it's the northernmost Anglo-Saxon coin of its kind ever found.

How it got there is still a mystery. Trade with England is one theory. A Norse raid hasn't been ruled out.

Trade or raid, which gets your vote?
