Angel Tube station could shut for up to a year
Its three escalators are 200ft long, and one failed in April with a second at risk.
A major London Tube station could close for up to a year, and it all comes down to three escalators.
Angel, in Islington, has the longest escalators on the Underground at 200ft each. One failed in April. TfL says a second could go soon.
Nothing's settled. TfL is weighing a full closure against a longer phased one, and is reportedly looking at making Angel exit-only on evenings and weekends from next month.
If you use Angel, which station would you switch to?
