Wheatus now sponsor a Worcester under 13s football team
Frontman hints at a locker room acoustic gig if the kids do well, but no promise
Wheatus, the band behind Teenage Dirtbag, are now the shirt sponsor of a youth football team in Worcester.
The side is Nunnery Wood U13s Phoenix. Coach Graham had stayed in touch with bassist Matthew since meeting the band at Gloucester Guildhall in 2023, then "cheekily asked" if they fancied sponsoring the team. They said yes.
Frontman Brendan B Brown has even hinted at an acoustic show in the locker room if the kids do well. Not a promise, mind.
Which band would you have loved on your old team's shirt?
